Please join us for a research talk by Caitlin Rathe on Friday, May 5. Caitlin is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of History at UCSB, as well as a Blum graudate affiliate, currently completing her dissertation. The research she will be presenting is titled “Food Assistancce Policies and the Transformation of the Public/Private Welfare State in the US and Britain, 1972-1988.” This talk is co-sponsored by the Orfalea Center’s Political Economy and Development Hub and the Center for the Study of Work, Labor and Democracy.
