Speaker bio:

David Wilson is Professor of Geography and Geographic Information Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, specializing in urban and political geography and the political economy of US cities. He has research and departmental affiliations with the university’s Center for Global Studies and Title VI Faculty Surveys, the Department of African Studies, and the School of Earth, Society, and Environment. Recent publications include Urban Inequalities Across the Globe (London: Routledge, 2014), and a new work, Finding the New Urban Frontier: America’s New Redevelopment Machine(submitted for publication, 2014).
